Hello!  My name is Rob, and I run Fortica Mechanical Design.

I started this business out of a passion and skill for designing high quality custom products and equipment.  My goal is to provide you with design services that support your business by saving money, improving safety and quality, and increasing efficiency.

Many designers have no experience with "real world" manufacturing, which results in products that are difficult to build or don't work properly.  I have a degree in mechanical engineering and also have experience with manufacturing & fabrication methods such as CNC machining and programming, manual lathe and milling machine operation, and welding. This allows me to approach your project with a unique perspective and provide fully functional & dependable designs with a focus on manufacturability.

I have worked as a manufacturing engineer at a prominent aerospace company as well as the principal engineer at a custom tool and machine supply company.  The products I have designed are being used at numerous companies, facilities and factories, including some Fortune 100 & 500 companies.
